Just some sketches, my take on the ideal 'competitive' dressage extended trot and the extended trot I would rather strive for. Neither are 'correct', and both have their faults, but I would prefer the top to the latter.
[link] - not reference, but just a photo example. I would prefer the top image to the bottom, but I find in competitive dressage the bottom will score higher, even though the horse is completely hollow and doesn't even hock action with his front (nor looks happy to be doing his job). Notice the riders differing equitation as well...
